As a business owner, you have enough to worry about, so why not prepare your wedding business for the influx of newly engaged couples coming during the engagement season?

Follow all of these steps below or even just a few to help you save time in your business and prepare yourself for engagement season.

6 Steps To Take To Prepare Your Wedding Business For Engagement Season

1. Update Your Services & Packages

Now is the time to ensure your packages and services are updated and reflect what you are offering. Have you wanted to increase your prices or no longer wished to provide a particular service? Now is the time to make those updates. The start of a new inquiry season is the perfect time to re-evaluate your pricing for the next year so that everyone is on the same rate.

2. Starting From Pricing Guide

Save yourself some time and create a pricing guide with your starting from costs. Instead of spending great lengths of time collecting information for every inquiry as they come in to make a custom quote, it is essential to qualify them first.

3. The Auto Response

When a new inquiry comes in while you are in the midst of wedding season, be sure to turn on that auto-response! In your auto-response, be sure to set realistic expectations for your clients. Tell them you received the email and will get back to them in X number of days. Here is a great sample script you can use below!

[ Hello!

Thank you so much for your email! Please note we are currently experiencing a high volume of emails and a busier-than-normal event season.

Response times may take up to 48 hours during this time. I apologize for the inconvenience and thank you for your patience during this time.

If your inquiry is urgent, please contact XYZ at (604)123-4567.]

4. Templated Emails

Choose the most common topics, services or questions you get asked and draft those babies into an email template. Have one set up for each service you offer so that the hard work is already done when new inquiries come in!

5. Automation

Create a workflow in your CRM that includes the templated emails and pricing guide mentioned above. Even better, create a payment workflow so that when your lead wants to book you, your system can automatically send them a contract and invoices when they are due. My favourite CRM to do this with is Dubsado! Check out this link here to save 20% off your first month or first year!

6. Update & Optimize Your Social Media Accounts

I cannot stress the importance of ensuring your information is correct and optimized when it comes to social media. Take a look at your social media accounts. Do you include keywords in your bio? Are you geo-tagging locations in your photos? Make sure that this information is updated so that your account is more discoverable to your ideal clients.
